Hey everybody. I am Clay Jacobs and am new to IC3 and relatively new to cycling. I am a Christian Country singer/preacher from Abilene and was diagnosed with MS in 2006. By God's grace, I have been symptom free since March of last year and God laid it on my heart to do this ride to give back to those struggling with MS. I plan to use this as a ministry to be able to share my story of what God can do in your life if you put your trust in HIM!!! I just wanted to thank each of you who are involved in this ride and thank you for allowing me to be a part of your team. I began training a couple of weeks ago, and know I have a ways to go, but HE will carry me.
His grace is sufficient...HIS strength is made perfect in our weakness. _________________ Keep your eyes on the SON (Hebrews 12:2)

[quote="Kevin"]The meeting with I am Second yesterday went very, very well. Dan and I met with 3 of their dudes and everything is a big 'ol go!
Hey Kevin, do you have an update on the MS150 jerseys? I'm excited to see it and get one. _________________ in Christ,

Dan, the only one of us with any artistic talent whatsoever, is working with them. I'm going to start asking for sizes and money very soon.
Still need to finalize the sponsors and logo locations. Don't want to look like a NASCAR billboard and lose the message...
Goal: 20 jersey order to be submitted by 2/28. In hand by 4/1.
I'll post a first draft "off the cuff" that Dan did shortly |

Hey I just got an email from the MS 150 stating that there is a "presidential pardon" and MS150 registration is back to $25 for the week of February 10 through February 17th. So now is the time to ask anyone you know who wants to ride to join the team and take advantage of the lower registration cost.
The email also said the team with the most new registrations during this week will get a free tent at the overnight stay at TMS. _________________ in Christ,

A note from the jersey vendor:
"It's more of a club cut, but it still is very firm fitting. We currently
offer just this cut however, we do have the capability to offer race cuts,
but I'd be a little concerned to offer you this option right now as the
ginny pig. Let me know what you would like to do though?
Those folks wearing race cuts should probably veer on the smaller size."

Well, I just caught a glimps of my future schedules and it will take the LORDS doing to be off for the MS-150. I get back from vacation the Wednesday before the MS-150 so work would have to give me a quick 3 day work schedule and the shortest they do is 4 days.
Can't make the HCTT and now 2 years in a row I could miss the MS-150. doesn't my employer know I need to ride bikes;) |
